A filmmaker from the Northeast, telling stories of taboo, friendship and the slow weight of choice.

Khanjan Kishore Nath is a National Film Award–winning filmmaker from India. He won the Rajat Kamal at the 68th National Film Awards for his short fiction Kachichinithu (The Boy with a Gun), awarded Best Short Fiction Film.

He did his M.Phil in Mass Communication from Rajiv Gandhi University and trained in filmmaking at the Zee Institute of Media Arts, Mumbai.

His first feature The Bicycle (Chor) released in 2017 and travelled film festivals around the globe — selected for Film Bazaar at IFFI and invited to the International Film Festival of Rotterdam. His second feature, Ata Nirjon Duporiya (A Mid-Day Without a Name), released theatrically.

He is a recipient of the Asia Pacific Script Lab 2019 for his script The Lost Path, which released as Kangbo A Loti.
